HaoChen (Simon) Xia
I am a junior majoring in Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a strong interest in computer vision, robotics, large language models, and efficient computing. Currently, I am a part-time intern at Aviatrix working on AI and cloud security. My research is primarily focused on computer vision and robotics at Human-Centered Autonomy Lab, advised by Professor Katherine Driggs-Campbell. I also work on efficient computing and computer network research projects with Professor David Nicol. Additionally, I am a cofounder (Tech Lead) of 1Shan AI Team with cutting-edge projects on Generative AI, VLM, and Machine Learning. Lastly, I am very passionate about real-world applications and have contributed to multiple projects in computer vision, large language models, and software development at Garg Group and SigAIDA.
